Law Offices of Josephine A. Lynch, P.A. provides experienced, empathetic legal assistance in family law, criminal defense and more.
Family Law Resolutions
The issues surrounding divorce and family law are the most emotionally sensitive of any area of law. Divorce, child custody, paternity, domestic violence and similar matters place significant stresses on family members – especially children.
I am Maryland family law attorney Josephine A. Lynch, Esquire. Before I became a lawyer, I received a degree in social work from the State University of New York at Albany. The knowledge that I gained about families, children and community resources available for families has enriched my family law practice and greatly benefited my legal clients.
Our Practice Areas
Experienced, Reliable Support In A Wide Range Of Legal Matters
For over 30 years, I have been helping clients in Maryland by providing the following legal services:
- Divorce and issues related to divorce, including marital asset division, child custody and visitation, child support, property division and spousal support
- Establishing legal paternity
- Protective orders: securing a protective or restraining order for a person who is the victim of domestic violence
- Criminal defense: trespassing, stalking, and other criminal matters resulting from family problems, including defense against unfounded protective orders being used in a divorce situation to deny someone access to children and home
Litigation, Negotiation And Mediation
For the benefit of my clients and their children, I work hard to help them reach an amicable agreement on the issues surrounding the dissolution of their marriages. This helps keep costs down and allows my clients to maintain control over the most important decisions of their lives.
If an amicable resolution is not possible, however, I am aggressive in the courtroom advocating for my clients’ interests and rights to equitable property division and access to their children.
The stress of divorce can make bad family situations even worse. If you have been the victim of domestic violence during your marriage or if you fear for your safety during this period of divorce, it is vitally important to take immediate action to protect yourself. Contact my office for help with a restraining order. I can help.
